About the Department
Invest India is the National Investment Promotion and Facilitation Agency under the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India. It hosts teams working with various government initiatives such as Make in India, Startup India, AGNii, and PMG.
Key Responsibilities
· Direct the budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes, ensuring they are aligned with company objectives and strategic goals.
· Manage the preparation and consolidation of monthly and quarterly financial reports, ensuring their accuracy, compliance with accounting standards, and timely delivery.
· Conduct thorough financial audits to ensure adherence to accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
· Work closely with internal teams to establish and maintain robust financial controls and risk management practices.
· Stay informed on industry trends and regulatory updates, providing guidance on implementing the best practices.
· Mentor and support junior auditors, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
· Participate in key projects aimed at enhancing organizational processes and driving operational efficiencies.
Qualifications
· Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is mandatory.
· 15+ years of relevant experience in finance & accounts division, including exposure in Audit & Management reporting, preferably within a consulting or corporate environment.
· Deep understanding of Indian Accounting Standards (IND AS), IFRS, tax regulations, and government financial compliance standards.
· Proven ability to manage complex financial operations, with strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
· Proficiency in financial software, audit tools, and the Microsoft Office Suite.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, external stakeholders, and government agencies.
