Invest India is the National Investment Promotion and Facilitation Agency of the Government of India, under the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry. The agency serves as the first point of contact for investors exploring India as a business destination. Invest India is responsible for numerous key government initiatives including Startup India, AGNIi, One District One Product, Project Monitoring Group, and Waste to Wealth among others.
Job Summary
The Bharat Startup Knowledge Access Registry (BHASKAR) is a key vertical within the Startup India Initiative and a priority project for DPIIT. BHASKAR serves as a comprehensive portal that integrates the entire startup ecosystem under one platform to foster active collaboration and connections. This role will involve close coordination with diverse stakeholders, including startups, incubators, accelerators, industry leaders, and government officials, to drive the success of BHASKAR. The ideal candidate should possess expertise in strategic planning, product management, managing cross-functional projects, strong research and analytical skills, and the capability to conceptualize and execute impactful programs and projects in the startup ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Outreach and Communication: Provide support in stakeholder outreach to expand the BHASKAR user base.
- Partnership Development: Identify and execute potential partnerships, conducting strategic analyses and stakeholder management.
- Market Research and Analysis: Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges within the startup ecosystem.
- Cross-Functional Project Management: Conceptualize synergies with various project teams at Startup India as well as the existing Startup India portal.
- Representation and Stakeholder Engagement: Represent Startup India and BHASKAR at industry events, conferences, and networking activities. Engage with the Ministry and senior officials to ensure smooth project logistics and delivery. Prepare briefing dockets, presentations, thought leadership content, and other communication materials.
- Performance Tracking and Reporting: Develop reports and metrics to track and evaluate the performance of the BHASKAR Portal. Develop and maintain detailed project plans, tracking progress against key milestones.
- Coordination: Ensure coordination with procurement, finance, tech, etc functions & the Dept to enable smooth functioning & maintenance of the platform
- Startup India Support: Support in various other projects of Startup India, as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or Master’s degree (Public Policy or Development Studies / Economics or Management Sciences / Engineering from Premier Institute / International Relations or MBA will be preferred)
- At least 1 year of work experience in Consulting, Partnerships, Strategic Planning, or Project Management
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in project management tools and presentation software (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Communication: Exceptional research and analytical stills for written and verbal communication, with the ability to craft impactful presentations and reports.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong stakeholder management capabilities and a collaborative approach to working with diverse teams.
- Executional Ability: Proven ability to conceptualize, execute, and manage complex projects independently, with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strategic Thinking: Analytical mindset to assess market trends and identify actionable insights.
