About the Department

Invest India is the National Investment Promotion and Facilitation Agency under the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India. It hosts teams working with various government initiatives such as Make in India, Startup India, AGNii, and PMG.

Key Responsibilities

1. Assist in the preparation and organization of Board and Committee meetings, ensuring adherence to proper governance procedures.

2. Ensure accurate maintenance of the company’s statutory records and handle secretarial compliance.

3. Demonstrate strong knowledge and efficiency in preparing and updating the company’s statutory registers.

4. Manage and support all aspects of the Depository (NSDL/ CDSL) -related activities, including shareholding data, dematerialization processes, and other compliance activities.

5. Support in ensuring the company’s compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and assist in enhancing Board effectiveness and implementing corporate governance best practices.

6. Prepare and File statutory forms and returns with the MCA (Ministry of Corporate Affairs) portal both V2 and V3 and other regulatory authorities.

7. Liaise with the external authorities to ensure the accurate and timely filing of the company’s XBRL submissions, annual returns, and other statutory forms and documents. Expertise in handling these filings will be crucial in ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.

8. Assist in drafting various corporate documents and other governance-related materials, in compliance with the Companies Act and other statutory requirements.

9. Able to conduct due diligence processes, including reviewing and analyzing corporate records and documents to ensure compliance and accuracy.

10. Eager to embrace new challenges and explore diverse areas of work with the ability to continuously learn and contribute to process improvement.

11. Maintain and keep with the utmost confidentiality information with regards to corporate affairs and sensitive company data in all internal and external communications.

12. Keep abreast of updates and amendments in companies Act, 2013 and other relevant legislation applicable to the Company.

Qualifications

Semi-qualified Company Secretary with a thorough understanding of corporate law, governance, and compliance.

Minimum of 5-6 years of experience in handling statutory compliance, corporate governance, and regulatory filings.

Experience in using MCA filing portals and handling depository related activities, including dematerialisation processes.

Proficient in maintaining statutory registers, corporate documentation, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise effectively with external authorities.

Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
