Other cash crops grown in the state include rattan and bamboo. The state is classified into four agro-climatic zones and the annual rainfall averages between 1,800 and 2,500 mm. Among all the natural resources, forest resources such as medicinal plants and timber contribute maximum to the state’s economy. It also has 650 indigenous species of medicinal and aromatic plants; and an unexploited reserves of around 600 MMT of Crude Oil.
