Asia and the Middle East Special Interaction Dinner

Mr. Piyush Goyal, Minister of Commerce and Industry, hosted a special interaction dinner for the Asia and Middle East Country Head of Missions. The event served as a common platform for the representatives of these nations to discuss ways to further enhance bilateral cooperation in trade and investment across diverse sectors and bring to light any issues/concerns that might need to be addressed.

Invest India helped curate sector-specific open discussions during the interaction dinner. Invest India identified key areas of interest for each participating country and facilitated discussions on trade and investment opportunities in those sectors. Invest India's involvement in the special interaction dinner helped create a conducive environment for networking, knowledge sharing, and exploring potential collaborations between India and the Asia and Middle East missions. Invest India’s expertise in investment promotion and facilitation added value to the event and contributed to enhancing bilateral cooperation on trade and investment.

B2B meet on India-Vietnam Business Cooperation

Consulate General of India (CGI), Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam organized a B2B meet on India-Vietnam business cooperation on the occasion of the visit of PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry to Ho Chi Minh City.

CGI invited Invest India to participate virtually during this event. The ASEAN team presented on India Growth story, India and Vietnam relations and opportunities in potential sectors including Agri and Food Processing, Fisheries, IT and Logistics Sectors.

Webinar on Exploring Investment Opportunities between North Eastern States of India and Vietnam 

The ASEAN Team and the North East desk, co-hosted with Embassy of Vietnam a comprehensive webinar on exploring business and investment opportunities in Agriculture and Handicrafts between North Eastern States of India and Vietnam. The webinar witnessed participation from more than 30 Vietnamese companies.

The Ministry of Development of the North-Eastern Region and North Eastern Council shared their remarks on the opportunities in North East Region. North-Eastern Handicraft and Handloom Development Corporation and North Eastern Regional Agricultural Marketing Corporation Ltd also highlighted the region’s sectoral opportunities. 

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hai, the Vietnam ambassador to India appreciated the efforts and were forthcoming to strengthen the association in carrying out the business ties between NER states and Vietnam in the Agriculture and Handicrafts sector and, to explore more sectors in this region in the coming future for further strengthening the bilateral relationship between India and Vietnam.
