Project Monitoring Group (PMG) has been regularly conducting review meetings to get definite timelines for resolving issues about mega infrastructure projects, which are pending with different state governments and central ministries. Central ministry officials attend these review meetings, senior officials from the concerned state government, district collectors and project proponents. Open issues in projects spanning major sectors, including railways, roads and highways, oil and gas, coal, mines, metro, power, renewable energy, and cement, are discussed at length in these meetings. PMG conducted three state review meetings and one high impact GatiShakti projects review meeting. Officials from the cabinet secretariat were also present, and they provided their valuable feedback and input.
Rajasthan and Punjab Review Meeting was chaired by Amrit Lal Meena, Special Secretary, Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Government of India. 90 issues in 42 projects, having a total investment value of INR 3.07 lakh crores, were discussed. As a result of this review, 16 issues across 13 projects were resolved. Further, clear timelines were given by the state government officials to resolve the open issues.
High Impact GatiShakti Projects Review Meeting was chaired by Amrit Lal Meena, Special Secretary, DPIIT, Government of India. 404 issues in 20 projects, having a total investment value of INR 1.84 lakh crores, were discussed. As a result of this review, 11 issues across 06 projects were resolved.
Uttarakhand and Delhi Review Meeting was chaired by Amrit Lal Meena, Special Secretary, DPIIT, Government of India. 37 issues in 15 projects, having a total investment value of INR 2.41 lakh crores, were discussed. As a result of this review, 08 issues across 07 projects were resolved. Further, clear timelines were given by the state government officials to resolve the open issues.
Tamil Nadu Review Meeting was chaired by Amrit Lal Meena, Special Secretary, DPIIT, Government of India. 71 issues in 20 projects, having a total investment value of INR 71,656.77 crores, were discussed. As a result of this review, 18 issues across 08 projects were resolved. Further, clear timelines were given by the state government officials to resolve the open issues.
State PMG portal and On-boarding of Districts and Departments: PMG team organised a session for the state government officers of Haryana to acquaint them with the state PMG technology portal and on-boarding of districts and departments.
