Introduction
India-Republic of Korea relations have made great strides in recent years and has become multifaceted, spurred by a significant convergence of interests, mutual goodwill and high-level exchanges. The ever-expanding canvas of their economic partnership has led to strengthening cooperation in sectors such as energy, electronics and shipbuilding.
Korea Plus successfully conducted a strategic roadshow in Seoul to understand more about the success of Korean companies in the Indian market. The team had detailed discussions with 30+ Korean investors within five days, focusing on Korean industry expansion plans in India making it "when" rather than "if". Korean companies are major players in Electronics & Automobile sector such as Samsung, Kia, Hyundai or LG. Data shows with the evolving consumer trends, India is a major export hub for Korean companies and contributes to one-fifth of the world's consumer market. Also, Hyundai sold one car every minute last month (June 2022) and exported 12 cars every hour in India.
