A meeting between the Ministry of AYUSH, Ministry of Women and Child Development, Invest India and various subject matter experts saw the idea of improving synergies between the ministries with a focus on supplementing nutrition practices in India through AYUSH, under Mission Poshan 2.0. The meeting began with a need for setting up a guideline on nutrition and addressing the nutritional needs of severe acute malnutrition children across the country and also discussed on ways of breaking the cycle of intergenerational malnutrition. The ministries focused on creating a proper channel of distribution and creating awareness among the citizenry on AYUSH through the various mediums available, one being of including the Anganwadi's at the ground level. The ministries have felt the need for monitoring and assessing these channels on a regular basis and for this to bring in National Medicinal Plants Board (NMPB) in geotagging the areas of interest and maintaining data. Poshan 2.0 dashboard would provide real time data in monitoring the hotspots of malnutrition and Anaemia thus enabling the ministries to tackle the situation better. Invest India would assist the ministries in creating an awareness plan for market sensitization and map out the various stakeholders that can be roped in for this endeavour.
