Under the “Atma-Nirbhar Bharat Abhiyan”, Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) launched the Industrial Park Rating System 2.0 (IPRS 2.0), aiming to rate the country’s industrial parks and special economic zones. As a subsequent activity IPRS 2.0 Gap Assessment Workshops are being undertaken to identify gaps with probable solutions for each State/ UT.

IPRS 2.0 Gap Assessment workshop was organised with Uttar Pradesh, at Vanijya Bhawan chaired by Mr. Rajeev Singh Thakur, Additional Secretary, DPIIT. The objective was to provide a road map to the state of Uttar Pradesh to improve its industrial parks by offering the best facilities to investors and enhancing the investment ecosystem of the state. The team also visited various places in the Noida industrial area, including a 100 per cent export-oriented textile factory and a Joint-Venture between Maruti Suzuki and Toyota for vehicle scrapping.
