Germany and Eastern Europe team organized “India – Germany Dinner” that was hosted by Mr. Piyush Goyal, Minister of Commerce and Industry, Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution and Textiles.
The German Business delegation was represented by CXOs of major German giants like Siemens AG, Hapag-Lloyd AG, SAP SE, Thyssenkrupp AG, Deutsche Post DHL Group, Deutsche Post DHL Group, SFC Energy AG, RENK GmbH and SMA Solar Technology. German companies discussed localizing production in India and being a part of the Make in India Mission. The event saw participation from senior government officials of The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and the German Embassy, New Delhi.
The Germany and Eastern Europe team presented the India opportunity at the Business Forum hosted by the Czech Republic Embassy in the presence of Mr. Jan Lipavský, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Czech Republic.
The Invest India team met Mr. Jan Lipavský, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Czech Republic, Dr. Eliska Zigova, Ambassador of the Czech Republic to India and Mr. Jakub Jaros, Economic and Commercial Counsellor at the business forum hosted at the Czech Republic Embassy. The team presented a brief presentation on the “India opportunity” as well as key sector opportunities. The event saw participation of Confederation of Industry of the Czech Republic, Czech Export Bank, DAKO-CZ, IBM Czech Republic, PBS India, Prague Airport and Tatra Trucks.
Mr. Deepak Bagla, CEO and MD, Invest India met Mr. Jan Lipavský, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Czech Republic at the Czech Embassy, echoing stronger India-Czech partnership.
Mr. Deepak Bagla and Mr. Jan Lipavský, Minister of Foreign Affairs, discussed ways to strengthen economic cooperation in sectors like Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Defence and Aviation. Mr. Deepak Bagla highlighted India’s startup ecosystem and detailed on the unprecedent transformation that India is going through both in terms of scale and pace. The meeting concluded with both sides ensuring continued cooperation.
Germany and Eastern Europe team hosted Ms Mateja Vodeb Ghosh, Ambassador of Slovenia to India at the Invest India Office.
Invest India team presented the ease of doing business reforms to Ms. Mateja Vodeb Ghosh, Ambassador of Slovenia to India. The team also presented India’s growth story and briefly discussed the seven priorities of the budget ‘Saptarishi’ that focus on inclusive development, reaching the last mile, infrastructure, and investment, unleashing the potential, green growth, youth power and financial sector.
