Hybrid Meet “India’s Potential Opportunities for Investment in Pharmaceutical sector.”
Invest India participated in the hybrid meet on ‘India's potential opportunities for investment in pharmaceutical sector’ organized by the Consulate General of India, Ho Chi Minh City. The team briefed on the ‘New India’ growth story, India-Vietnam trade and investment overview, and opportunities in the pharmaceutical sector including biopharma and medical devices. The session was concluded with a few questions raised by Vietnamese companies around the demand side, key tax incentives in India and research and development opportunities in India.

Invest India participated in the India-Thailand business seminar organized by the Embassy of India, Bangkok. The seminar started with the welcome address by Mr. Nagesh Singh, Ambassador of India, Bangkok. Invest India briefed about investment opportunities in India for Thailand companies. The event witnessed participation from the heads of Thai trade associations and some major companies.

An outreach webinar on “Growth Opportunities in India’s Pharmaceutical and Medical Device Sectors: Malaysia” was organised by Department of Pharmaceuticals, Government of India, High Commission of India in Malaysia, and Invest India. Dr. Sumit Garg, Deputy Secretary, Department of Pharmaceuticals delivered the welcome address. Mr B.N Reddy, High Commissioner of India in Malaysia and Mr. Amizal Fadzli Rajali, Deputy High Commissioner/ Chargé D'affaires, High Commission of Malaysia, New Delhi delivered special remarks and explored growth opportunities in an insightful webinar. Industry and Association leaders from Siemens Healthineers and Omron Healthcare, and Association of Private Hospitals of Malaysia shared their valuable experiences and the collaboration for growth in the pharma and medical devices sectors.

Secretary, MoFPI chaired a virtual interaction with Indian missions abroad to apprise the Indian Missions about World Food India 2023, gathering inputs and suggestions regarding the event and seeking active support from the missions. All the ten ASEAN missions participated in the interaction.
