We are in this fight together. There is no higher priority for Emerson than the safety of our employees, customers, business partners, and communities. We are working closely with public health officials and governmental authorities in support of their efforts to reduce the impact of COVID-19 (Novel Coronavirus) in India and globally. We encourage our employees and their families to strictly adhere to the COVID-19 prevention measures published by the Ministry of Home Affairs of the Government of India, health organizations including the World Health Organization (WHO) and to seek medical attention if symptoms of infection are present.
This is also a time when our country’s essential workers are being relied upon to provide services we expect every day, and we need to support them. We are taking the steps necessary to keep our employees safe while continuing to support our customers that operate in industries that are vital to battling this pandemic. Our employees whose roles can be done remotely are working from home during this unprecedented period of lockdown. I see our teams using technology to its full extent to remain connected and operating with the same zeal and passion, reaffirming our unwavering support to our customers.
Emerson’s goods and services are supporting critical infrastructure for industrial, food and medical ecosystems in India and globally. Our customers include power generation plants, water and wastewater facilities, production facilities for energy, pharmaceuticals, refining and medical equipment, the cold chain serving the food industry, and more. As a responsible corporate citizen, Emerson is providing products and services that help ensure the essentials of daily life remain available.
I want to sincerely thank all the officers of the central government and the state governments of Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu for helping us during these unprecedented times.
Emerson also truly appreciates the support of offices and executives of Invest India, Tamil Nadu Industrial Guidance Bureau and the US-India Strategic Partnership Forum (USISPF) for the extraordinary support during these challenging times.
Invest India team has been proactively facilitating our investments in India with monthly monitoring and following up on daily basis. During lockdown too the team has been very active in helping us iron out all issues. We thank their tireless efforts on the ground.
And most importantly, we salute our employees and the employees of other essential businesses across India who are supporting the critical infrastructure industries on which our country and our world rely.
