As Covid 19 outbreak intensifies across the globe as well as in India, Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) has approved 51 private laboratories for Covid-19 testing, according to their announcement on March 31, 2020. The Joint Secretary, Health, Lav Agarwal announced that the private labs will have to follow ICMR guidelines while testing for the virus.
