The office of the Principal Scientific Adviser (PSA) to the Government of India via the Office’s AGNIi Mission programme, and the Government of Uttarakhand via the Uttarakhand State Council for Science and Technology (UCOST) collaborated for Rural Science Congress under the aegis of the 17th Uttarakhand State Science Congress (UKSSC).
As part of this congress, the AGNIi Mission organised a technology showcase for climate adaptive agriculture, livelihoods, and water innovations. The Chief Minister of Uttarakhand spent time with the innovators who presented during the showcase.
The team also organised a technical session that focused on pioneering climate adaptive innovations for the Himalayas, with Uttarakhand as an exemplar. This session sort expert inputs to validate use cases, operational scenarios, technology stacks, and technology assessment frameworks related to AGNIi’s work in Champawat, Uttarakhand.
The team also organised a plenary session titled ‘Accelerating Rural Innovation through Himalaya State Network – Adarsh Champawat,’ which has now laid the foundation for the mission's future work of enabling emerging technology-led climate change engagement in Uttarakhand and Himalayan states.
