The North East (NE) Desk facilitated a meeting between N. Biren Singh, Chief Minister (CM) of Manipur, and Prashant Nayak, the Managing Director of Yazaki India Pvt. Ltd. 

Nayak presented the proposal to set up an export-oriented wire harness manufacturing unit in Manipur, which would generate about 1500 jobs in the state, especially for women. The NE Desk also visited Integrated Check Post (ICP) Moreh at the Indo-Myanmar border, along with Nayak, to assess the infrastructure.

A proposal for creating Manipur Investment Promotion Agency (MIPA) was discussed with the Chief Minister. The NE Desk also had fecund interactions with various stakeholders, including Imphal Smart City Ltd., World Bank Group and Local Tech Start-ups, Manipur Organic Mission Agency (MOMA), Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) and PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and various state departments (agriculture and horticulture, textiles commerce and industry, information technology.)
