The 18th meeting of the Prime Minister’s Science, Technology and Innovation Advisory Council (PM-STIAC) was held jointly with the 29th meeting of the Empowered Technology Group (ETG) under the chairmanship of Prof K. VijayRaghavan, Principal Scientific Adviser to the Government of India. The meeting focused on ‘Photovoltaic and Solar Manufacturing in India’ for solutions and strategies. Members of the PM-STIAC and ETG attended with speakers from Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay, CASE-Bharat, and ReNew Power. Recommendations and actions emerging from the meeting will be taken forward.
