The state's textile industry is renowned for producing a diverse range of garments that are popular in the northwestern region of India. Skilled weaving is a well-known art form among the Mizo people, and they are highly regarded for their expertise in this craft.

The moderate climate and ample rainfall in the region enhances the feasibility of commercial fish farming

Mizoram's valleys are characterized by perennial clear water streams that contain high levels of oxygen, making them suitable for the intensive cultivation of various freshwater fish species. 

Under PMMSY, a total of 5 new freshwater finfish hatchery will be established to boost the fish seed productions. Inputs for fisheries will be provided to cover an area of 140 Ha of water in Mizoram.

Maize and rice are the main food crops produced in the state.

Zoram Mega Food Park was set up in the state at 55 acres of land, with the following facilities: Cold Storage, Drywarehouse, Spices drying facility, and Food Testing Laboratory.
