We are looking to hire a Social Media – Video Editor to work on the social media campaign connected to “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” - the celebration of 75 years of India’s independence

The candidates would be seated/located at the Ministry of Culture, and the assignment will be a two-year stint.
Key Responsibilities
The Video Editor will be responsible for editing and assembling recorded raw material into a suitable, finished product ready for posting online/broadcasting. The material may include camera footage, dialogue, sound effects, graphics and special effects.
The candidate is required to possess both technical and creative abilities to be able to effectively create the vision required for the campaign. The responsibilities would include –
- Capture studio-quality photographs and video
- Work both on and off-siteAssembling raw footage and transferring or uploading to a computer
- Following a script, screenplay or outline and also ideating the same
- Inputting sound to enhance footage, which may include selecting music and writing voice-overs
- Inputting graphics to enhance footage
- Digitally splicing film and video and synchronizing them into one rough cut file
- Improving and correcting lighting, colour, and faulty footage
- Working closely with other team members in the campaign and creative agencies, to present a final product that matches his or her vision
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in file production, or multimedia, or similar domains
- 4-7 years of experience as video specialist or a similar role
- Experience of using video and editing equipment
- Creative thinker
- Good time-management skills
- Great interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficient in Final Cut Pro X, Adobe After Effects or other video creation/editing tools
- Knowledge and a good understanding of motion graphics
