About the Department
Invest India is the National Investment Promotion and Facilitation Agency under the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India. It hosts teams working with various government initiatives such as Make in India, Startup India, AGNii, and PMG.
Key Responsibilities
1. Leadership & Strategy:
Lead the development and execution of the company’s marketing and communication strategies, both domestically and internationally.
Oversee the creation and implementation of integrated marketing campaigns across multiple channels, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic goals.
Manage a team of marketing professionals and agencies, providing guidance, mentorship, and leadership to achieve exceptional results.
2. Brand Management & Communication:
Develop and maintain a strong, consistent brand identity across all touchpoints and platforms.
Shape and manage the public image of the company, ensuring alignment with core values and corporate goals.
Foster strong media relationships, ensuring positive coverage and strategic media placement.
3. Media Strategy & Partnerships:
Lead the development and execution of global media strategies, including partnerships, advertising, and earned media campaigns.
Drive relationships with key media stakeholders, influencers, and external agencies to maximize the company’s visibility and engagement.
Lead crisis communications and reputation management efforts as needed, safeguarding the brand’s integrity.
4. Digital Marketing & Innovation:
Champion the adoption and integration of digital marketing best practices, leveraging emerging technologies and platforms to drive engagement and customer acquisition.
Monitor and analyze key performance metrics to evaluate the success of marketing initiatives and optimize ROI.
5. International Marketing:
Lead the execution of international marketing strategies, including tailoring campaigns for regional markets and ensuring global consistency.
Manage cross-cultural marketing efforts to build brand presence in diverse geographical areas.
6. Content Creation & Storytelling:
Oversee the development of compelling, innovative content that drives customer engagement and supports the company’s brand narrative.
Collaborate closely with content creators, designers, and agencies to produce high-quality assets across media formats (TV, digital, print, etc.).
7. Stakeholder Management:
Serve as the primary point of contact for all marketing and communications matters for senior leadership, ensuring alignment across departments and divisions.
Regularly report on marketing performance, new opportunities, and strategic recommendations to the executive team.
Qualifications
20+ years of experience in marketing and communications, with a strong emphasis in the media and entertainment industry.
Proven leadership experience managing both domestic and international marketing teams and campaigns.
Deep expertise in media strategy, brand management, public relations, and digital marketing.
A decorated profile with notable accomplishments in media, entertainment, or related sectors, with a solid understanding of the industry’s trends, technologies, and best practices.
Ability to manage complex, high-stakes marketing initiatives with global reach and impact.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and represent the brand externally.
Strategic thinker with a passion for storytelling, creativity, and innovation.
Exceptional project management skills and ability to drive initiatives from concept to execution.
