About the Department
Invest India is the National Investment Promotion and Facilitation Agency under the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India. It hosts teams working with various government initiatives such as Make in India, Startup India, AGNii, and PMG.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management:
Lead and manage projects utilizing Java, Microsoft, or open-source technology stacks.
Perform architecture and code reviews to ensure high-quality deliverables.
Optimize project performance and manage overall efficiency.
Infrastructure and IT Compliance:
Oversee IT processes related to infrastructure management.
Implement and manage ISO standards and security processes.
Ensure adherence to internal IT policies and compliances.
New/Renewed Projects:
Assess project requirements and collaborate with the team to prepare Bills of Materials (BOM).
Conduct technical evaluations and manage vendor performance and delivery.
Existing Projects:
Oversee project deliveries, ensuring they meet specified requirements.
Implement cost optimization strategies.
Evaluate and refine project architecture for scalability and efficiency.
Vendor Management.
Qualifications
Educational Background:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Computer Science or equivalent).
PMP certification or extensive project management experience.
Professional Experience:
Proven experience managing projects across various technology stacks from inception to completion.
Expertise in one or more of the following technology stacks: Java, Microsoft, or open-source.
Experience leading a team of 40 or more engineers.
Skills and Competencies:
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent vendor management capabilities, including technical evaluation and cost optimization.
Deep understanding of IT infrastructure management, ISO standards, and security processes.
Exceptional organizational and communication skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
