Role Description

  • Define strategy for identification of potential investors & partners from concerned country into India across various priority sectors
  • Implement frameworks for proactive outreach and engagement with potential investors & partners from concerned country in line with the defined strategy for investment, trade and R&D
  • Develop and maintain relationships with relevant stakeholders from the country and India to support investor & partner outreach

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and update strategy for attracting investments from concerned country to India, including identification of priority sectors, key stakeholders and approach for implementation
  • Identify key stakeholders – across government entities, trade bodies, investment partners, industry associations and other private / public entities relevant for implementation of investment strategy and develop & maintain relationships with them towards achievement of strategy
  • Develop relationships with potential and existing investors to facilitate their investments into India
  • Coordinate with relevant stakeholders, internal and external, to address Ease of Doing Business issues as relevant
  • Support key stakeholders to facilitate engagement between relevant stakeholders Government of India and key stakeholders from concerned country, including facilitation for G2G mechanisms as relevant
  • Conduct assessment of trade relationship between India and concerned country to identify sectors and products for greater engagement
  • Assess potential for technology transfer into India across relevant sectors and coordinate with relevant stakeholders from concerned country and India
  • Support relevant stakeholders, internal & external, by providing insights on historical and expected trends for engagement between concerned country and India
  • Monitor and mentor team to ensure effective delivery of output

Qualifications

  • Professional with at least 13-15 years of strong business finance & commercial experience preferably in government/Industrial bodies.
  • Master's degree in economics, business administration, international business, foreign trade, foreign policy, or allied areas.
