About the Department

 

Invest India is the National Investment Promotion and Facilitation Agency under the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India. It hosts teams working with various government initiatives such as Make in India, Startup India, AGNii, and PMG.

As a mid-specialist, you will lead efforts to facilitate investments in the capital goods industry. You will develop strategies, engage with investors, and analyze market trends to drive growth. You will play a pivotal role in achieving sector-specific goals and the overall success of the capital sector within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Develop and execute comprehensive strategies to attract investments from domestic and international capital goods companies. Work closely with investors to understand their needs, address concerns, and facilitate a seamless investment process.
  • Organize and execute investor engagement initiatives, including roundtables, roadshows, meetings, and webinars, to showcase investment opportunities and facilitate networking.
  • Analyze regulations, policies, industry, and company reports to provide informed insights and strategic recommendations.
  • Proactively engage with major capital goods companies, industry associations, research institutions, and government agencies to foster collaboration and identify investment opportunities.
  • Develop industry-specific reports, blog posts, web content, and presentations focusing on market prospects, significant policy measures, and other topics of interest.

Qualifications

 

  • Master’s degree in engineering, business administration, economics, or a related field. A combination of a bachelor's degree in engineering and an MBA is preferred.
  • 4+ years of experience in a client-facing role at a consulting firm, development agency, investment bank, investment promotion agency, or global corporation within the capital goods sector is preferred.
  • Familiarity with the capital goods sector’s market dynamics, applicable regulations, and relevant government initiatives.
  • Proficient in crafting strategic documents, analyzing policies, creating research reports, managing stakeholders, and driving business development.
  • Excellent research and analytical skills, strong interpersonal and relationship management abilities, effective organizational and coordination capabilities, and proficiency in cross-functional collaboration.
  • Willingness to travel as needed
