About the Department

Invest India is the National Investment Promotion and Facilitation Agency under the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India. It hosts teams working with various government initiatives such as Make in India, Startup India, AGNii, and PMG.

The Junior Specialist, plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth functioning of administrative processes within the organization. This position involves providing support to various departments, managing office tasks, and contributing to the overall efficiency of daily operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Utilize in-depth knowledge of government procurement procedures to effectively navigate the tendering process from initiation to contract award.
  • Manage the end-to-end procurement process on the Government e-Marketplace (GeM), including bidding, evaluation, and contract management.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify procurement needs and develop procurement plans that align with organizational objectives.
  • Draft, review, and analyze procurement documents, including Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Quotations (RFQs), and Invitations to Bid (ITBs).
  • Evaluate supplier proposals and conduct price analysis to ensure competitiveness and value for money.
  • Coordinate with legal and finance departments to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • 2-4 years of overall experience in procurement in the procurement department of, any government sector.
  • Knowledge of Government e-Marketplace (GeM) platform and tender management.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • MBA would be an added advantage.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
