About the Department

Invest India is the National Investment Promotion and Facilitation Agency under the Department of Promotion for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India. It hosts teams working with various government initiatives such as Make in India, Startup India, AGNii, and PMG.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced HR Operations to join our HR team. The HR Operations will play a crucial role in managing and administering various HR functions, ensuring smooth and efficient operations within the HR department.

  • Reports & MIS

 

  • Reporting and Analytics: Generate payroll reports and analytics for management review. Analyse payroll data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for process improvements.
  • Audit Preparation: Prepare and provide support for internal and external audits related to payroll and compliance matters. Ensure all records and documentation are accurate and readily accessible.
  • Employee Inquiries: Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues, deductions, and taxation. Provide excellent customer service and timely resolution of payroll-related concerns.
  • Policy and Procedure Development: Assist in the development and implementation of payroll policies, procedures, and guidelines. Ensure alignment with organizational goals and compliance requirements.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with HR, Finance, and IT departments to ensure seamless integration and coordination of payroll processes and systems.
  • Continuous Improvement: Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance payroll efficiency, accuracy, and compliance. Participate in payroll-related projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or related field preferred.
  • 4-5  years of experience in payroll processing and compliance, preferably in a multi-state environment.
  • Proficiency with payroll software and HRIS systems.
  • Thorough knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll tax laws and regulations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
