About the Department

 

Invest India is the National Investment Promotion and Facilitation Agency under the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India. It hosts teams working with various government initiatives such as Make in India, Startup India, AGNii, and PMG.

The person would be located within the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) in New Delhi, will play a critical role in advancing the ODOP initiative. This position entails acting as a crucial liaison between the ODOP team and DPIIT, ensuring seamless communication and coordination of activities. 

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Coordination and Liaison: Act as a pivotal liaison between the ODOP team at Invest India and DPIIT, ensuring effective communication and coordination of all activities and initiatives.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Prepare and manage official documents including DO letters, reports, proposals, and presentations for various stakeholders.
  • Meeting and Event Management: Organize and coordinate meetings, discussions, and workshops with internal teams, government officials, and external stakeholders to facilitate the smooth execution of ODOP initiatives.
  • Policy Support: Provide support in the formulation, implementation, and monitoring of policies related to ODOP to ensure alignment with national economic goals and objectives.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with government bodies, industry leaders, and other relevant stakeholders to promote ODOP and solicit support and collaboration.
  • Project Management: Oversee and manage specific projects within the ODOP initiative, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget
  • Drafting and documentation: Work on drafting DO letters and other related documents to be shared with relevant stakeholders.
  • Conducting Meetings: Organize regular meetings with the DPIIT officials and manage the tasks allocated. 
  • Coordination: Coordinate between the State’s ODOP SPOCs/Nodal officers, ODOP Team and DPIIT and facilitate operations on behalf of ODOP.

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, public administration, economics, or related fields. A master’s degree or higher will be an added advantage.
  • 4-6 years of relevant experience, particularly in coordination within government departments or projects or initiatives. Prior experience working directly with government bodies or in government projects is essential.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a results-oriented approach
