About the Department

 

Invest India is the National Investment Promotion and Facilitation Agency under the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India. It hosts teams working with various government initiatives such as Make in India, Startup India, AGNii, and PMG.

The Certification and Quality Standardization Specialist will oversee the certification and quality standardization processes for stakeholders participating in the One District One Product (ODOP) initiative. This role involves ensuring that ODOP products meet the required quality standards and certifications, thereby enhancing their marketability and competitiveness

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Certification and Quality Standardization Process Management: Manage the end-to-end certification and quality standardization processes for ODOP stakeholders, including support in application process, assessment, and issuance of certifications.
  • Quality Standards Compliance: Ensure that ODOP products meet the required quality standards and certifications, such as GI tags, organic certifications, etc.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with stakeholders to raise awareness about the importance of certifications and quality standardization and provide guidance on meeting the required standards.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline the certification and quality standardization processes and improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that ODOP products meet the highest quality standards through appropriate certifications and quality standardization processes.
  • Market Access: Facilitate market access for ODOP products by ensuring compliance with relevant certifications and quality standards.
  • Stakeholder Empowerment: Empower stakeholders to meet certification and quality standardization requirements and enhance the marketability and competitiveness of their products.

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in quality management, Agriculture, Policy or a related field.
  • 4- 6 years of experience and knowledge in implementing quality standardization processes.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a results-oriented approach to certification and quality standardization processes.
