About the Department

Invest India is the National Investment Promotion and Facilitation Agency under the Department for Promotion of Industry & Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India. It hosts teams working with various government initiatives such as Make in India, Startup India, AGNIi, and PMG. 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Proven expertise in one or more of the following sectors – Automotive, Renewable Energy, Industrial/Manufacturing, Chemicals, Life Sciences, Medical Electronics, Consumer Electronics. 

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to promote investment in the assigned sectors. 

  • Identify key trends, opportunities, and challenges within the assigned industries. 

  • Lead efforts to attract domestic and international investments in the assigned sectors. 

  • Work closely with investors, government agencies, and industry stakeholders to facilitate investment projects. 

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government bodies, industry associations, and potential investors. 

  • Collaborate with relevant ministries and regulatory bodies to streamline investment processes. 

  • Advocate for policy changes that support the growth of the assigned sectors and attract investments. 

  • Provide insights and recommendations to policymakers on regulatory improvements. 

  • Conduct in-depth market analysis to identify emerging trends and investment opportunities in the energy sector. 

  • Stay updated on global and regional developments affecting the industry. 

  • Lead a team of professionals to execute various initiatives and projects. 

  • Foster a collaborative and results-oriented work environment. 

Qualifications

 

  • A master's degree in business with engineering degree in Electronics/Mechanical/Electrical/Industrial/Software/Chemical  

  • Strong understanding of energy market dynamics, regulations, and investment processes. 

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills. 

  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at various levels. 

  • Familiarity with government policies and procedures related to the energy industry. 

  • 5+ years of experience of team management, setting targets and objectives, performance review and decision making.
