Assistant Vice President - Project Monitoring team

Examination and monitor of projects under major ports. Take steps such as track progress, assess the benefits from the projects on a regular basis, ongoing basis and step in where necessary to ensure that the overall Sagarmala objectives are being achieved.
Ensure all project documentation is updated and conveyed to relevant stakeholders on time.
Identification of various issues causing a delay in project progress and escalating the same.
Examination of all project issues from contract/legal/finance/project management perspective and prepare a draft of requisite communications
Assist in the appraisal of all new project proposals/initiatives including financial analysis, project concept review including RFP creation, vendor research and selection, contract negotiations and transition management
Prepare information for the audit of programmes/ projects and support implementation of audit recommendations.
Provide administrative support in monitoring budget preparation and the finances of programmes/projects.

Experience in Maritime sector – Ports, Shipping, Waterways, Logistics sector sectors preferred.
B-tech and Masters degree from a reputed institution (preferably IIM/IIT)
At least 15 years of full-time work experience with minimum 10 years of experience in the Maritime field.
Knowledge of Public Private Partnership and policies in India and globally.
Ability to work in teams and independently take responsibility of delivering key results.
Strong Communication, Research and Analytical skills

Project planning, supervision, monitoring, budgeting, evaluation & reporting and coordination to ensure project development in accordance with the initiatives of the Govt. of India
Advising, planning and ensure leadership in working with internal and external stakeholders to devise and implement solutions related to process and activities under various initiations of Ministry of Shipping
Advise on long-term and short-term strategy to enhance the investments in ports and new avenues in ports. Also, to assist in implementing the said strategy.
Analysis of different operating parameters of ports and develop a strategy to improve port performance/efficiency.
Identifying new potential foreign investors and approaching them in a focused, structured manner for investments in the Shipping sector
Prepare presentations on project status/data, as required. Also Prepare monthly expenditure plan, monitor expenses and bring deviations to the notice of senior management for further action.

Experience in Maritime sector – Ports, Shipping, Waterways, Logistics sector sectors preferred.

Providing support for framing, documenting of Maritime Vision 2030.
Assistance in reducing the cost of transporting domestic cargo by optimising modal mix
Assistance and suggestion to lower logistics cost of bulk commodities by locating future industrial capacities near the coast, improving export competitiveness by developing port proximate discrete manufacturing clusters and optimising time/cost of EXIM container movement.

Experience in Maritime sector – Ports, Shipping, Waterways, Logistics sector sectors preferred.
