About the Department

Invest India, the National Investment Promotion & Facilitation Agency of the Government of India, is looking to hire an Assistant Manager for its Middle East and Africa country desk. We are looking for candidates who can work actively with investors from across Middle East and Africa towards building the investment pipeline across various sectors by partnering with our domestic, international, government and private stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitating investor engagement from the Middle East and Africa regions, including from countries such as Saudi Arabia, UAE, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Israel, and South Africa
  • Building investment pipeline and evaluating prospective inward investment interests by liaising with our stakeholders
  • Working on regulatory and policy guidance, issue redressals, ease of doing business measures in close collaboration with industry and government towards bridging existing gaps
  • Preparing knowledge reports and pitch decks on market opportunities, key policy initiatives and other areas of interest in bilateral commercial relations
  • Organizing stakeholder consultations, roundtables and investment promotion events pitching the investment opportunities across focus sectors to potential investors across the portfolio countries
  • Supporting the broader team on workstreams related to India’s participation in Expo 2020 to be held in Dubai from October 2021 to March 2022

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Masters degree from a premier institution (Public Policy, Development Studies, Economics, Law or a related field will be preferred)
  • 2-4 years of work experience (Consulting/ Investment Banking/ Multilateral Institutions/ Public Policy/Commercial Law will be preferred)
  • Strong Research, Communications, Coordination, Relationship Management, CrossFunctional Collaboration Skills
  • Expertise with Microsoft Excel, MS Word, Power-Point and Strong Presentation Skills
