The WAIPA World Investment Conference is an annual flagship event, serving as a platform for global investment promotion and innovation stakeholders. This conference brings together IPAs, international organizations, academia, and the private sector to discuss investment policies and trends, providing a unique opportunity for networking, knowledge sharing, and partnership building.

About WAIPA
WAIPA, established in 1995 and registered as a non-governmental organization in Geneva, Switzerland, plays a pivotal role in facilitating cooperation among Investment Promotion Agencies (IPAs) worldwide. Its objectives include promoting understanding and cooperation among IPAs, enhancing information gathering and sharing, and supporting IPAs in advising governments on investment promotion policies. WAIPA also provides access to technical assistance and training opportunities for IPAs.
India’s WAIPA Presidency
Invest India, the national investment promotion agency of India joined WAIPA in 2017. The same year, it assumed a regional leadership role in the WAIPA’s steering committee for 2017-19, followed by a Vice Presidency for 2019-21. It was elected as WAIPA president for the period 2021-23.
Invest India’s Presidency focuses on steering WAIPA to take the big leap to become an organisation of authority and a global reference point when it comes to promoting investments and helping the IPA community to be future-ready.
