Project Monitoring Group (PMG) has been regularly conducting state review meetings to get definite timelines for resolution of mega infrastructure projects, pending with different state governments. Central ministry officials attend these review meetings, senior officials from the concerned state government, district collectors and project proponents. Open issues in projects spanning significant sectors, including railways, roads & highways, oil & gas, coal, mines, metro, power, renewable energy, and cement, are discussed at length in these meetings. Two state review meetings were conducted by PMG with the state governments of Gujarat and Odisha. Officials from the cabinet secretariat were also present, and they provided their feedback and inputs.
- Gujarat Review Meeting was chaired by Amrit Lal Meena, Special Secretary (Logistics), DPIIT, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India. 43 issues in 25 projects, having a total investment value of INR 1.39 lakh crore, were discussed. As a result of this review, 9 issues across 6 projects were resolved. Further, clear timelines were given by the state government officials to resolve the open issues.
- Odisha Review Meeting was chaired by Suresh Chandra Mohapatra, Chief Secretary, Government of Odisha and co-chaired by Amrit Lal Meena, Special Secretary (Logistics), DPIIT, Government of India. 88 issues in 29 projects, having a total investment value of INR 1.29 lakh crore were discussed. As a result of this review, 12 issues across 8 projects were resolved.
