The Invest India states team conducted a capacity building workshop on state Investment Promotion Agency (IPA) framework for the Department of Industries, Government of Jharkhand at Project Bhawan, Ranchi. This was part-I of a two-part workshop and conveyed the necessity of a robust IPA at the state level, towards Invest India’s endeavour to strengthen state IPAs. The workshop was chaired by Mr. Jitendra K. Singh, Secretary, Department of Industries, and attended by officials from the Department, including members of the Single Window team under JIIDCO. Mr. Manish Meena from Invest India’s Capacity Building for State IPA team delivered the workshop, along with Mr. Rishabh Katyal and Mr. Apoorv Kumar, lead and SPOC respectively for Jharkhand state from Invest India. The next step would be a workshop on the Phase-III State IPA Assessment Framework for the officials of the department. Invest India team hopes to collaborate with Govt. of Jharkhand to design and structure a suitable IPA for the state government.
